Early in the morning we boarded the bus for Joshimath to reach the gate to Badrinath by 2:00 PM. We had a problem with the bus on the way. It was quite disappointing that it has happened. As food is already prepared before starting we had lunch. Since the spare parts will take long time, the tour guide has arranged for multiple vehicles to reach Joshimath and to Badrinath.
Hill slides that could happen any time. One of the slide has hit our bus. Not much damage done.

Sikhs do pilgrimage to Hemkund Saheb. Hemkund Saheb is on the way to Badrinath. Guru Govind Singh has said to have done tapasya at this place.
Badrinath and Hemkund Saheb are busy routes from Apr-Sep as they are opened in these months. Oct- Apr due to winter the roads are closed.

We travelled by Jeep and Sumo to reach Badrinath in the evening.

River Alakanada starts from the mountains here.
Badrinath is situated on two mountains named Nara and Narayana. Both nara and narayana were sages doing tapsya where they found the idol of badrinath.
Brahma Kapalam is situated here. If one offers tarpan here for ancestors they will have moksha. In the morning a group of us have performed the rituals at the bank of the river.
The temple is closed for six months in a year. It is said during that time the gods perform pooja to the Lord Narayana here.
As we got delayed in reaching the temple. The plant to go to Mana village has been cancelled. Mana village is the border between India & Tibet.
Afternoon we started from badrinath to joshimath.
Salutes to the Indian Army and all of the armed forces for keeping us safe from external enemies.
But who will keep us safe from our internal enemies????????
